I feel joyful when I photograph subjects in nature. I watch for a different angle, or lighting, or way to convey how I feel when I see something. I “wow!” in delight when the camera shows me an intimate detail I am unable to see clearly on my own. Or when I finally get that “impossible” shot of an insect, bird, or other creature in motion.

Occasionally I photograph significant events (memorial service, building a new house) or everyday events (cutting down a dead tree, installing a solar panel on a roof, preparing great food).

Mostly I create a record of garden and landscape changes at Tree Haven Resource Center throughout the seasons and years.
